My personal interest on sound became a reality while being a student in Sweden, There I started to develope a personal approach over sound composition. There is where Mensa Project was born. Mensa project intended to build a perspective over the idea of landscape and sound and the possible dialogues and synergies that can arose from this relationship. Through Sound experimentation Mensa project tries to investigate formal similitudes between the shape of geography and sound processing.
Now a days Mensa project has been putted aside and I use sound in a more versatile way. Getting in to the so called Soundscape Composition I try to build sonic spaces in which different soundscapes and structures are mixed all together in concordance with the landscape. To do so I developed a certain set of rules that are defining what I call Sound Placement. This concept is just a name for a target I would like to achieve. This is the Idea of placing physically a composition on a specific location.
Finally the audio part of my work looks after sound experimentation, field recordings and soundscape composition. With those materials I try to present a personal approach over issues like, sound composition, landscape and the way we see and experience it.
The set of rules can be read clicking over "Personal Contract" in the menu bar.

Sound Compass. November 2009.
Lightning system, Computer, Max MSp and headphones.
Sound Compass is a piece that aims to display different soundscapes that can be found on a concrete city or area. The piece is presented as a game between the user and the sound triggered by headphones. Wearing the headphones, the user can move the mouse over the compass and listen to different soundscapes tided with a geographic spot on the city. Each soundscape has been recorded in each of the cardinal points of the city.
The result is the combination of all eight soundscapes that becomes a sound portrait of the town or city. There you can finde from the crowded motorways to the calmness of a city park.

Walking Compositions. May-August 2009.
Sound Walk, Computer, Max MSp, GPSr and headphones.
Walking Compositions is a Site Specific sound walk around the Hermitage of Braid a Natural Reserve in the middle of Edinburgh, (Scotland). The project aims to generate a sound based experience between the listener and the environment where the walk is done. Moreover this project aims to explore the concept of soundscape composition and its posibilities of distribution and displaying.
Walking Compositions pretends to be an experiment on how GPS technologies can be implemented in the field of music and sound distribution. And finally its a subjective sonic approach on the way we see the landscape and how can we create synesthetic relations between landscape and sound.

Hidden Landscapes. In Collaboration with Andrea Pazos. Desember 2008.
Digital Interactive Sound Environment.
Hidden Landscapes is an interactive experience. It's based on the act of play. We give a stage where the user has to act like Alice in Wonderland. Looking and following all the objects to get a complete visual and sonic trip.

Audiotalaia Homelabel. Ongoing Project since 2007.
online project.
AudioTalaia Homelabel it's a space to develop, publish and release works on experimental electronic music. The label was born from "Talaies Sonores" project. Translated on the English as Sound Overview, the aim was to play on open spaces electronic experimental music.
Audiotalaia seeks for artists interested on developing their projects on sound landscapes. We look after large and steady sound, pads, drones and reverberated objects. We enjoy listening wide open sound structures with a digitalised root or using field recordings, you can listen to the different releases to figure out what's the sound that Audiotalaia looks after. We specially recommend to listen Ryonkt and it's first release at Audiotalaia called Transparence, probably it's a great example of the kind of sound we love.

Talaies Sonores. March 2008.
PA System, Computer, GPSr, plastic hermetic recipients, Cdr.
Talaies Sonores is a project about, landscape, sound an digital interaction with natural environment. It's about geolocation and sound geotagging.
Many of the live sets by Mensa are settled inside Talaies Sonores Project. That’s my main project. The proposal consists in prepare, produce and play experimental sound sessions on the open air, surrounded of nature. I use to go to the mountains to check place where to play. The places have to be on high altitude (1000 m above the sea more or less) and have to have a huge overview over a big extension of landscape. The first 4 sessions where done in mountains around Catalonia, those four sessions where performed in a continuous chain of mountains that goes parallel to the coast of Catalonia.
When I chose the places I bring there a sound equipment, laptops and speakers, and as well a electricity generator run with gasoline. The thing is to play in a improvitsated way electronic sounds processed digitally. Then when the sessions it’s over I recorded in 8 cds that are placed inside an hermetic plastic recipient (tupperware). Afterwards I hide the tupperware in the same place where I did the session and I keep the coordinates of the place with a GPS device. At home I hung on the net those coordinates so if you want you can check it and go to the place to listen the sessions. The exact location and the profile information of each tupperware it’s placed at www.geocaching.com

Cricket manifesto (or the school were it’s nothing happening). June 2006. Kungliga Konsthogskolan Stockholm, Sweden.
Movement sensors, computer and sound equipment.
For the final exhibition that all the students at KKH (royal University College of Fine Arts of Stockholm) I prepared an interactive installation all around the school. With software MAX MSP I designed with the help of Mario Gonzalez a net of movement sensors placed all around the building.
Those sensors every time that somebody or something was reaching their range of detection, they activate a sound recordings of crickets. Those crickets were sounding all around the school. As well it was a sound piece reminding jungle environment that was popping up randomly.
The claim of the proposal was to generate a debate around the whole conception of what’s a school of art. According to the project I wrote a kind of Manifesto to make people react to the stuckness of the school.

Sonic Landscapes is a project that seeks to build in a virtual an already lived experience. The project aims to provide a space of reflection about communting and the contemporary landscape, throught sound and visuals. The performance is played live, with digital generated visuals and digitally processed sound. The visual and sonic parts work all together as one.
Presented live at Saló de Té 2007 at the University Of Barcelona, Fine Arts Collegue.
