A few weeks ago, I announced my withdrawal from the majority of digital music distribution platforms, opting for self-publishing and free downloads for the time being. Now it's time to announce the projects that I will be releasing in the coming months—some self-published and others supported by labels in which I have full confidence and their commitment is always a relief.
The first of these releases will come on January 29th in digital format through my Bandcamp page. The album, titled "Temps Suspés," features this haunting photograph by Paula Felipe, graciously provided by her to illustrate the album.
This work consists of two extended tracks, showcasing a a tapastrey of sounds created entirely with a single sampler of a grand piano and generative processes. The pieces are based on concepts such as slowness, staticity, and sustained suspension of notes, harmonics, and chords.
This project should have been released years ago, but due to various unfortunate incidents, it never saw the light until now. I crafted it in 2020, amidst the pandemic, and now it will be released before it turns four years old.
Following this release, a second album will follow, this time in physical format/limited edition, compiling six original and unreleased tracks produced in the last four years—a record to finalize certain work processes and turn a new page. One of my favorite labels, with whom I've collaborated before, will publish this album.
Finally (for now), in 2024, the debut of the collaboration with Marina Delicado will be released in digital format, also through another label that is a pleasure to work with once again.
